That’s (almost) a wrap.
Safe to say, our second full year in business has been a BIG one - a non-stop 12 months of campaign launches, shoots, website deployments, new business pitches and all sorts of other fun and games.
It certainly doesn’t happen though without the support of our amazing clients, so we’d like to say a big thank you to them, and also to our global LVC family of thinkers, creators and doers who make it all a reality.
Here are some of LVC’s best bits from 2017 - so far (we've still got a few weeks left in the year, and anything could happen between now and then).
Websites, websites, websites.
This year, we launched a bunch of beautiful new websites for our clients, including Business Continuum (February), AccountKit (September) and All Systems Cloud (October), to name a handful. We also re-launched our own website with a new blog and portfolio section in October, and December has seen us start work on some fresh new website briefs which we can’t wait to launch in early 2018 (watch this space).
Shooting ‘Claw’ for SocietyOne.
Work doesn’t get much more fun than shooting in an arcade, and that’s exactly what we did for ‘Claw’, a video we concepted and produced (along with the legends at Chimney Asia Pacific) in Sydney back in September. Here are a few behind the scenes shots:
Writing lots of creative content for our clients.
LVC’s team of writers were kept especially busy this year writing lots of original blog articles for clients’ websites and LinkedIn Pulse accounts. Always striving to deliver the most relevant and interesting content possible for our clients’ target audiences (no fluffy clickbait for us), we spoke to a number of industry experts and personalities who provided us with plenty of insights and great stuff to talk about. Check out some of our favourite industry-specific blog pieces here, here and here.
Brand and strategy development.
This year, LVC’s strategy team helped define the brand positioning for a top supermarket health food brand, a leading fitness studio and a new software app in the fintech space. We also undertook several competitor review projects, including a sizeable one for a household name ISP. We can’t say much about any of these yet, but more will be revealed in 2018.
Xerocon Melbourne.
Our clients Business Continuum and AccountKit were particularly active this year at Xerocon, and we were stoked to be part of the action. We concepted and produced a pre-con event for both businesses (Accounting Practice Intelligence) which you can read about on the Business Continuum blog here. In addition, we made sure our clients were well stocked with marketing collateral and top notch merchandise - the coffee cups at AccountKit’s stand were particularly well received by attendees looking to caffeinate during the conference.
A revolutionary brand launch.
Back in January we helped accounting industry personality Melanie Power develop a brand identity for her family of brands - Bookkeeper Revolution, Accounting Revolution, Small Business Revolution as well as Melanie Power, her professional identity.
Playing with illustration.
Throughout the year we worked with some incredible illustrators around the globe to create bespoke content for clients as well as our own in-house initiatives. Long-time LVC friend Beck Feiner created the Peace Cake to celebrate our 2nd birthday, and UK-based fashion illustrator Jack Hughes did an incredible job of our annual end-of-year thank you card illustration, which just so happens to be landing in mailboxes as we type.
What’s happening in 2018?
There’s no real rest for us over the summer holidays - this is when we sit on a beach, dig our toes into the sand and write up our big plans for the year ahead. We’re looking forward to creating many more marketing campaigns for our clients, both new and existing, in 2018. We’re looking forward to trying new things, upskilling, growing and challenging ourselves to do the best we possibly can with any briefs that cross our desks, be they big or small.
Here’s to pushing the boundaries, and creating great work that works hard!
Signing off (almost),
Carolyn and the LVC team x
